Hey everyone! I finally am learning this whole blog thing. I told Brian that this is a family blog now! But he wont let me change the background.....we'll see! I have been getting on and looking at all your blogs and reading your comments and I LOVE this "blogging" thing! Ok so I had Drake on April 3, 2008 at 3:40 and he was 9 POUNDS!!! Is that crazy or what? When they told me how much he weighed I about passed out! Then I look at the prego picture of me the night before I had him and then I think, ok, I was BIG! So, we got to the hospital Wed. night at 8:00 p.m. and they started me with a procedure where they put this pill in me and it is supposed to put you in labor. They insert this pill every 4 hours. So they put the last pill in at 4:30 a.m. and checked me 4 hours later and I was only dialated to a one!!! I about died, only a one! So the Dr. says they would try one last procedure and if it didnt work, they would send me home at noon. So he used this balloon thing and it inflates on top of the uterus and I am not quite sure what else it did but it worked! An hour later my water broke and I was dialated to a four and then had the epideral and then by three 3:00 I was at a ten and by 3:40 he was out! What an amazing thing! He was screaming and the second they put him on my chest he stopped. That was the best ever!
Life has been crazy this past week. We have great families and they helped us out. drake has been a good baby. He only cries when he is hungry and he sleeps really well. We just love him so much.... It is amazing the spirit he has brought into our home! Brian and I could not feel more complete!

Hey Emily sorry for not writing you sooner. I agree with Chels, that outfit is darling. It was so good to hear from you so you will have to keep in touch. No offence but I agree with the background it's hard to see, if anything you can make your own!! I love to see pictures cause he is darling and it's good to see you again. You're beautiful as ever. I am so glad that you posted some pics of the baby on your blog. He is so cute and I hope that you guys keep up on this blogging thing so that we can keep in touch. We are gonna miss you guys.

Congrats guys! HE'S HUGE!! Lindsay isn't big on the whole blog scene yet, so I'm writing on her behalf. She read this one, and loves all the pix though! She wanted me to make sure I told Emily, that our little guy, Braxton Richard Featherstone was born on the same day as Drake. Too cool! Well that's that... congrats again, and keep in touch:)
Congrats on your new baby! What a handsome little guy. I saw your name on Natalie's blog and had to come over and see the new baby. I am so happy for you guys. Keep posting more pictures of him as he grows each week. It will be fun to look back in just a year and see the week to week progression he has made.

I bet you are excited to get back to utah to be near family!! Aren't you glad your mom came, I bet she was a huge help. keep us all in touch with all his amazing changes and development. more pictures, more pictures!!!
oh you will miss school life(especially brian) trust me!! real life is about to begin!! he wont find time to pant his xbox controlers. Its like real life hits all of the sudden. we miss you guys too, it would be nice to hang out since we are both staying at home. give that beautiful baby a kiss.

To answer your questions... I live in Oklahoma because my husband works at a hospital here (administration). We've been here for a year and a half. It's okay, but we'd love to be closer to family sometime soon. I haven't kept in touch with too many girls from volleyball, but I did see Dre and Kira last year when Dre got married. She's in Denver, and Kira is in Utah still, I think. No news on anyone else, though.
What about you? Where are you living? Brian is in law school? Your little guy is sooo cute. Big boy!
